Wild Scrandle-kun is the embodiment of berries from Scrandle, and foraging in general. He was first drawn by
Maddison Baek. During one round of Scrandle, Joe (and
Mouse) were presented with an image of a hand holding blackberries and blueberries which was captioned "Berries, free from a bush, £0.00". Joe commented that he would never eat berries from a random bush, and was incredulous that some chatters—including Mouse—tried to argue the point[1].
Editor's note: As a forager, I agree with Joe. Do not eat a plant unless you can both positively identify it and can be certain that it is not a poisonous look-alike. For example, while blackberries have no poisonous look-alikes, blueberries have many. In addition, do not forage in areas that may be exposed to pesticides, herbicides, or large amounts of car exhaust. Beginners should go foraging with a more experienced partner or not at all. It's not like berries cost that much.
