Bomb-chan is the embodiment of a card called The Bomb from Slay the Spire, which Joe used in one of his runs of the game. The original artist is Marik Bentusi. Her earrings are the letters J and C, which is a reference to J. C. Denton from Deus Ex. There's a famous cutscene in that game where someone says "A bomb!" (with bad voice acting). Bomb-chan's counterpart is Bandage-chan.
Bomb-chan had a resurgence in relevance during The Voting Game. Joe added a novelty entry to the list of games in the vote called the bomb which would destroy the two games above and below it at the end of each round. Although this never actually happened, due to the complicated rules of the voting game, Bomb-chan did receive multiple new fanarts. Bomb-chan is also involved in a convoluted series of events that link together several of Marik's chans.
