Poisoned Well-chan is the embodiment of a chat behavior that Joe called "poisoning the well". The original artist is Zoe-Amelie. While the normal chat anticipation for big upcoming games is a Weeb's Gambit, chat's attitude prior to playing Metaphor: ReFantazio was different than usual. While initially many praised the game, with the common catchphrase of "Metaphor fixes this".
Later, during some streams when Joe and 
Mouse were streaming together, Mouse read a "Metaphor fixes this" message and joked about how it wasn't true[1]. Joe asked Mouse a couple questions about Metaphor. Mouse, having disliked several aspects of the game, said her opinions, and some chatters claimed she was "poisoning the well". This phrase gained memetic status, and eventually was channified around the time Joe began playing Metaphor.
