Purple-chan is the embodiment of the purple training dummy from The Voting Game. The pruple training dummy was one out of five different filler items in the list of games in the vote. Joe said that the purple training dummy was "non-sentient" and "the cute one", which prompted people in JADS to start personifying her as Purple-chan. Then Joe played into this and made a deal with JADS that he would stop Fire Emblem: Three Houses from being removed from the list of games if JADS voted to "kill Purple-chan". This is what prompted the first drawing of her to be made by Marik Bentusi, and is why she has a target on her chest. And then JADS voted to not kill Purple-chan. She is also involved in a convoluded series of events that link together several of Marik's chans.
