Yakisoba-chan is the embodiment of Yakisoba-pan, a food item from 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. The original artist is Tep. In 13 sentinels, characters have a thought menu that can be accessed at any time. Characters have voiced dialogue for each thought, and thoughts stay in the menu after the scene in which they are introduced. When playing as Takatoshi Hijiyama, whose favorite food is Yakisoba-pan, Joe found it amusing to pause during serious conversations to have Hijiyama voice admiration for the food[1].
