Justified Violence-chan is the embodiment of the argument Joe had with chat over whether killing the wolves in NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... was justified. The original artist is
Maddison Baek.
One of the main conversations Joe had with chat during the NieR playthrough was about whether the main characters were right to indiscriminately kill shades and wolves[1], given that later in the story, it is revealed that every enemy faction has at least some members that are capable of human emotion and communication.
One of the largest arguments happened when the main characters killed a wolf pack that was harassing a desert village[2]. Some chatters argued that because the Wolves were capable of communication, the main characters were morally wrong for massacring them without attempting to seek a peaceful resolution. Joe argued that the characters had no knowledge that the wolves were sapient and able to communicate, and had no reason to suspect they could be. This argument lasted for several days, as one of NieR's main themes is the cycle of violence.
