In Catherine when you order a drink from the bar, a disembodied voice tells you trivia about the drink you just ordered, and it always opens with "I know this is sudden".[1] Joe also noticed that Japanese games tend to have their characters say the phrase "I know this is sudden" a lot, probably because it's a literal translation of a phrase (Shikatanai [仕方ない], for something to be inevitable, impossible to avoid, etc.) which is much more common in Japanese.[2]
