I know this is sudden

In Catherine when you order a drink from the bar, a disembodied voice tells you trivia about the drink you just ordered, and it always opens with "I know this is sudden". Joe also noticed that Japanese games tend to have their characters say the phrase "I know this is sudden" a lot, probably because it's a literal translation of a phrase (Shikatanai [仕方ない], for something to be inevitable, impossible to avoid, etc.) which is much more common in Japanese.
