Purple-chan is the embodiment of the purple training dummy from [[The Voting Game]]. The pruple training dummy was one out of five different filler items in the list of games in the vote. Joe said that the purple training dummy was "non-sentient" and "the cute one", which prompted people in JADS to start personifying her as Purple-chan. Then Joe played into this and made a deal with JADS that he would stop Fire Emblem: Three Houses from being removed from the list of games if JADS voted to "kill Purple-chan". This is what prompted the first drawing of her to be made by Marik Bentusi, and is why she has a target on her chest. And then JADS voted to not kill Purple-chan. She is also involved in [[Chanology#Chan relationships|a convoluded series of events]] that link together several of Marik's chans.
