Joe enjoyed the game's setting and general design. However, there is a controversial character[3][4] in the game named Dorothy Haze, a robot who is a sex worker designed to look 10-12 years old and named after the titular character from Lolita.[5] Ultimately, Joe was deeply uncomfortable with this character and it tarnished his experience with the game overall. When he faced pushback in JADS over this, he said he was uncomfortable knowing how many members of his community were fine with the character.[6]
