Shot in the leg
During the Life is Strange streams, there was a part of the game where one of the characters has to defend herself by shooting the person who's attacking her, which sparked the usual debate between Joe and chat about whether or not it was a justified form of self-defence.[1] Then Joe addressed the argument made by some people that you could shoot with the intention to wound the other person by shooting them in the leg for example, and said that when you only have a split second to act you might not be able to aim for their leg. Then he read out a chat message of someone saying that it's actually worse to get shot in the leg than it is to get shot in the torso because it has lots of vital arteries.[2] Now it's a meme to consider a leg wound to be the deadliest injury you can have.
