This is a Jerma985 reference
This article contains a reference from Jerma985's streams. These memes transcend many different Twitch channels, and this one in particular has cemented itself as a meme in its own right in Joe's streams.

Jerma did a stream with fellow streamer Etalyx of the two-player campaign of Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days, but with some extra rules which they both came up with, to give themselves a challenge.[1] The three most important rules were as follows:

  • They had 4 hours to beat the game
  • For every good joke one of them told, they gained an extra 2 minutes
  • For every bad joke one of them told, they lost 2 minutes

Jerma got his chat to decide what counted as a good joke and what counted as a bad joke, by getting them to type either +2 or -2. But they kept on doing this even after this stream ended. Now it's traditional for Twitch chatters to respond to good jokes with +2 and bad jokes with -2 on various channels. But this is done often in particular in Joe's streams because he noticed it once and addressed it, which only made people do it more.

This meme is represented by the emotes jphPlus and jphMinus.
