Tsumari (つまり) is a Japanese word which translates to "in other words". During Joe's read-through of Umineko When They Cry, both Joe and chat noticed how common this word was in the text. They then began to spam "tsumari" whenever it was said in voice lines.[1] When Jelly appeared on the stream as a guest, he often said "tsumari" when he noticed the phrase "in other words".[2] Afterwards, Joe began to consistently say "In other words—tsumari—" when he noticed the phrase.[3]

A channification of the word "tsumari" exists in the form of Tsumari-chan.
