An Ardanian soldier doing a Persona 5 all-out attack finisher, by Marik Bentusi

There are enemies in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 called Ardanian soldiers who have Scottish accents and a total of three different voice lines which they can say in battle, which are "Think you can take me?", "Don't forget me", and "You're done!" (YA DUN). All the enemies say their voice lines way too often, so when fighting these enemies, you can hear only a constant stream of these voice lines.[1] "YA DUN" was Joe's favourite of these.[2] There were other variants of the Ardanian Soldiers who had other voice lines, including "Pipsqueak!", and "Behave!".[3]

Joe enjoyed how awful and repetitive the voice lines like these were so much that it was one of the main contributing factors for him thinking that the game was bad on purpose, which made him enjoy it a lot.[4] The Ardanian soldiers were enemies early on in the game, and then they showed up again further through it. This pleased Joe a lot when he got to hear YA DUN again.[5]
