Joe's waifu in Danganronpa 2 was a character called Chiaki, who had a pouting sprite which he liked.[1][2] Joe developed an impression of her voice. The phrase Joe says to get himself into this voice is "Hey hey", because one of Chiaki's default voice lines, which are the voice lines which are used in scenes that aren't fully voice acted, is her saying "Hey hey". After noticing that she said this a lot,[3][4] he then discovered that lots of other characters also had default voice lines where they say "Hey hey".[5][6][7]
Chiaki and her pout are represented by the emote jphPout.
