Ladder-chan is the embodiment of a particular ladder from Resident Evil Village. The original artist is Marik Bentusi.
Early in Resident Evil Village, Ethan must fight several zombies in a small village. While Joe struggled with this section, he found that the zombies would not attack him while he was climbing a particular ladder, and used it to his advantage during the fight[1]. At one point, he even used the safety of the ladder to leave the game running while using the restroom[2].
