During the Steins;Gate streams, the character Makise Kurisu kept talking about her father's obsession with time travel[1], which led Joe to come up with a bit involving the father disappearing in a scenario that suspiciously appeared to involve time travel. This bit culminated in the phrase "If only my dad was still alive to see this [..] If only he hadn't went into his *time traveling hot air balloon* and then disappeared over the middle of the atlantic. [..] He's Dead For Sure."[2]
